Daniel 1
Tennis star Andre Agassi appeared in commercials for Canon Cameras and declared, "Image is everything." Indeed, image was everything to King Nebuchadnezzar when he wanted some choice Israelites to take back to Babylon. But for the Lord and his faithful followers like Daniel, image ISN'T everything – character counts, and a willingness to follow Him no matter what the cost.

Daniel 1
Daniel looked like the type of Israelite that King Nebuchadnezzar wanted to take back to Babylon to serve in his court – young, handsome, smart, and socially adept. But his character was marked by faithfulness, commitment to God's Truth, and unswerving devotion to the Lord – qualities that made him a change agent in the pagan culture around him, and can make US change agents as well.

Daniel 1
