You may believe you will go to heaven because your sins are forgiven – but although God's forgiveness gets you out of hell, you need His righteousness to get into heaven. Habakkuk's declaration, “The righteous shall live by faith” indicates that you not only receive forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ – you also receive His perfect righteousness credited to your account.
