1 Corinthians 12:1-6
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians, "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed." Sadly, after 2000 years many Christians are still uninformed about this important subject, leading to much confusion, misunderstanding, and incorrect teaching. A pilot is headed for disaster if he cannot control his aircraft – and we are headed for disaster in our spiritual lives if we do not learn to exercise self-control over our fleshly desires and sinful inclinations.

Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." We can cultivate a spirit of gentleness in all our relationships when we come to Jesus Christ in faith, take His yoke upon us, and pursue intimate fellowship with Him.
