John 18:28-19:16
The religious leaders and people of Israel heard the teaching of Jesus and witnessed His miracles. And yet, when Pontius Pilate offered to release one prisoner to them, they chose the condemned robber and insurrectionist Barabbas instead of Jesus. Although these events took place centuries ago, every person today faces a similar choice: What will I do with Jesus Christ?

Matthew 1:18-25
The angel appeared to Joseph and proclaimed the fulfillment of Isaiah's Old Testament prophecy from centuries before: "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)." God's glory, God's salvation, and indeed God Himself, have come to us in the miraculous conception, Virgin Birth, and Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 1:18-25
The Apostles' Creed asserts the biblical truth that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. But today, this teaching is denied in many pulpits, and rejected by many who may call themselves Christians. So, why exactly is the biblical doctrine of the miraculous Conception and Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ such an essential element of the Christian faith?

John 3:16
In the hymn “Praise Him! Praise Him!”, we sing “Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever; crown Him, crown Him, Prophet and Priest and King!” Different people filled the Old Testament offices of Prophet, Priest, and King with decidedly mixed results. But only Jesus Christ perfectly fulfills these three offices that were foretold and foreshadowed in the Old Testament.

In the Apostles' Creed we confess, "I believe in Jesus Christ." Yet it is possible to believe the wrong things about Him – and countless people do just that. Genuine faith in Jesus acknowledges Him as Lord and Christ – both truly God and truly man, God's anointed Messiah and the King of Kings. When Christians say, “I believe in Jesus Christ” – what exactly do we mean?

Acts 17:16-34
Many people in our day believe that the universe, life on planet earth, and human beings all came into being apart from a Divine Creation. They point to the Big Bang theory and evolution to explain the origins of our universe and the human race. In stark contrast, the very first words of the Bible set forth God's clear declaration on this issue: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

Acts 17:16-34
The Apostles' Creed begins with the statement, "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth." Both this ancient confession of faith, as well as the very Word of God itself, begin with a clear and unambiguous declaration of God as the mighty and omnipotent creator of heaven and earth. Do you acknowledge the Lord as your sovereign, almighty Creator?

Romans 1:16-23
Who and what we worship will determine how we live, and how we live will ultimately reveal who and what we worship. God's Word reveals to us His nature and character, not through human imagination but by divine revelation. We learn that He is One God in Three Persons, He is our heavenly Father, He is Almighty, and He is holy – truths we affirm in the Apostles' Creed.

Romans 1:16-23
There is a striking ignorance in professing Christendom, about who God is – His essential nature, character, and attributes. Jesus' High Priestly Prayer in John 17 teaches us that eternal life is knowing the True and Living God as He has revealed Himself in Holy Scripture, and experiencing a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
